About Us

At Mama Bear College Mom, we understand the nuances and new challenges faced by parents and their students. That's why we provide a comprehensive concierge service to meet their needs and ensure a smooth transition into college life- because sometimes you just “don’t know what you don’t know.” Students aren’t fully shaped when they graduate from high school. This isn’t just a “do-it-for-you” service; it’s hands-on coaching where we walk alongside students and their families to set them up for long-term success beyond college. We assist parents in transitioning from being fixers to facilitators. We serve as the bridge between developing students from their high school years through their college years.

Becky DeGracia, Founder

Becky and her husband Ted, along with her children, all moved to Waco in 2020. Gabby (middle) was already attending Baylor University, and her younger two, Mateo and Anabella, followed closely behind to become Baylor Bears. Having the experience of being an out-of-state parent with her oldest, she saw the needs of families and felt God give her a heart to serve the college students of Waco. It's been 4 years since Waco Mama Bear has begun, and it's been an incredible adventure! Becky brings a lifetime of experience in areas of Customer Service, Emergency Preparedness, First AID and CPR training, Leadership and Crisis Management. She has also dabbled in Holistic Health Coaching, and loves to play in the kitchen!

    Shawna recently relocated from California to Waco, TX. With over two decades of experience in children's ministry, she brings a wealth of compassion to her community. She is married with four adult children, one attending Baylor as a junior, and blessed with two adorable grandchildren. She cherishes every moment spent with family. She looks forward to serving our Baylor parents and students. Sic’Em!

  • Cristi Vilade

    Cristi, a proud Baylor alumnus, resides in Waco with her husband John, also a Baylor alumnus, after living in New Jersey for 27 years following their graduation. They are parents to a current Baylor student and a recent Baylor graduate. Passionate about her alma mater, Cristi loves helping students and enjoys attending Baylor sporting events with John, walking, organizing, and reading in her free time.

How do I sign up?

To sign up for our subscription plans, simply visit our website and choose the plan that best suits your needs. Follow the prompts to complete the registration process.

What are the benefits to subscribe?

Our subscription plans offer a range of benefits, including access to our full suite of services, exclusive discounts, and priority customer support.

How can I cancel?

Once subscribed, you cannot cancel. It is a binding agreement, even if your student withdraws from the university.

Are there any additional fees?

There are no additional fees associated with our subscription plans. The price you see is the price you pay. Additional fees only apply to extra services not explicitly outlined in your package.

Can I upgrade my plan?

If you are an A La Carte customer and find yourself using more services than expected, you can subscribe to an annual plan at a pro-rated rate. All prior purchases will be considered when determining your new annual plan. Upgrades for already subscribed members do not exist.
